ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE MINISTRY OF LABOR AND SOCIAL SECURITY

Important Announcement for Employers

Today, you received an email from the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance. You are kindly requested to take the following actions immediately:

1. Review the contents of the email and the requirements outlined therein.
2. Complete the necessary procedures related to the Ministry’s instructions.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance has announced that, following a recent amendment to the Law on Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions, a Decree was issued by the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance on December 19, 2024.

According to the Decree, every Employer (Legal or Natural Person) is required during the period between January 2, 2025, and February 28, 2025, to register all active employees in the ERGANI computerized system, including basic terms of employment as stipulated by the relevant Law.

Among other things, in addition to employees’ personal details, the following must be recorded:

• Place of work
• Job title/duties
• Employment start date
• Salary
• Any allowances or other benefits (detailed)
• Working hours
• Weekly working days

To assist users in the registration process, relevant guidance will be available within the system.

Additionally, it is noted that for employers with a large number of employees, the use of Excel and XML files is supported.

Very Important:
Contact us immediately regarding Employer Liability Insurance, which is mandatory by law.

Failure to hold such a policy will result in:

• A monetary fine of €3,500
• Criminal penalties
